Job description

EMENA Sub-Regional Digital Systems & Salesforce Coordinator

 

Department: EMENA (Europe, Middle East and North Africa)

Reports to: Alpha EMENA Salesforce Support + Alpha EMENA Digital & Impact Lead

Location: Poland / remote (physical office available in Cracow)

Travel requirements: Some inter-regional travel as well as to London central gatherings

Work pattern / hours: 0,8 FTE towards the sub-region + 0,2 FTE towards the National Alpha Office of Poland / flexible working hours

Date: candidate to start work within Q3 of 2024

Role purpose

The Alpha International EMENA team works to support all National Alpha Offices (NAOs) across the Europe, Middle East and North Africa region, as they engage with and equip churches in their countries to spread the Gospel through Alpha. This is the second largest region supported by Alpha International, and is a complex region, with products in 30 languages and a wide variety of cultural and church contexts. 

The role holder will:

  1. Be responsible for the adoption and use of Salesforce and key Digital systems within the relevant Sub-Region, as part of the wider EMENA region and Global network.

  2. Lead and coordinate the coaching and development of the relevant teams in how to maximise the use of Salesforce and key Digital systems.

  3. Guide (N)AO teams as they use Salesforce and Digital Systems to execute on their mission (within their own capacities).

  4. Manage and maintain standards across the Sub-region, and thus the whole region.

  5. Provide crucial insight and support the region-wide planning for Digital Systems and Salesforce.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Act as the first point of contact and support in Salesforce & Digital Systems for (N)AOs across the Sub-region.

  2. Have a comprehensive understanding of how Alpha’s various Digital Systems & Salesforce function, leading (N)AOs to take advantage of the platforms within their capacities and engaging on their behalf where practical.

  3. Pitch and provide knowledge and expertise on Salesforce & Digital Systems to the sub-region, at suitable times, such as strategic planning.

  4. Collate and represent the needs and wishes of the Sub-region, driving development plans, where necessary via the Regional and/or Global Digital team.

  5. Communicate with and support countries to ensure engagement and adoption of Region-wide and Global projects in a timely manner.

  6. Educate new team members within (N)AOs on Alpha’s use of Salesforce & Digital Systems, in collaboration with the Regional team.

  7. Follow and engage with Global & Regional guidance for how to use Salesforce & Digital Systems, configuring reports, dashboards, custom settings and features to enable Global-/Regional-led projects and platforms (e.g. Annual Data Collection, myAlpha and alpha.org).

  8. Innovate and create local/contextualised ideas and solutions to address Sub-regional needs, maintaining regular communication and updates with the wider Regional team.

  9. Facilitate and maintain user understanding and competency within the (N)AO to perform basic tasks themselves.

  10. Hold a clear understanding of the different skills and capacities within the Sub-region, providing equal minimum support and ensuring success across all (N)AOs.

Role dimensions:

Key relationships – internal: EMENA Digital & Impact Lead, EMENA Salesforce Development & Regional Support Lead, Sub-Regional Salesforce & Digital Coordinators, NAO Digital Coordinators, Alpha Global Digital Team & the Sub-regional (N)AO teams.

Key relationships – external: External digital development agencies and system support teams

Essential Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • A passion for the evangelisation of the nations

  • Good command of the English Language, written and oral

  • At least 2 years’ experience of digital project management working on web-based IT projects

  • Ability to work rapidly, consistently and proactively to a high standard of performance within deadlines

  • High attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Capacity to initiate and manage several projects simultaneously with minimal oversight

  • Ability to grasp business requirements and provide a technical solution to them

  • Proven ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with team members to deliver shared goals

  • Capable of quickly learning new programmes

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Knowledge of the Alpha organisation mission and values

  • Confidence and maturity to deal with people at different levels, both internally and externally

  • Comfortable with change which may occur in a creative environment

  • Understanding of GDPR, data managing and risk minimisation

  • Experience of working globally, across time zones, with multiple stakeholders
